Bernadine Henderson has been a FIC board member since October 2017. Bernadine has a Masters of Education in Special Education and worked as a special education teacher in the West Valley in both resource and self-contained classrooms. She left teaching in 2014 to focus on her family and foster children. Bernadine and her husband Billy have been foster parents since 2012. They have parented over 40 foster children. Billy and Bernadine have five children ages 30, 25, 23, and 20 and 9. The oldest and youngest have special needs. In addition to serving on the Board for the Family Involvement Center, Bernadine is a member of a Foster Care Review Board and a Human Rights Committee for DDD.
