Family-Professional Partnerships

Fundamental to the work and philosophy of the Family Involvement Center is the belief that a collaborative and authentic family-professional partnership is the foundation to achieving successful outcomes with children and families. Not only is it now recognized as best practice, but it is essential to the growth and development of a System of Care designed to effectively serve children and youth with emotional, behavioral, and/or mental health concerns and their families. The Family Involvement Center promotes this partnership throughout the organization by creating a culture that fosters collaboration and mutual responsibility between family members and professionals. Additionally, we provide technical assistance, coaching, and consultation on a local, state, and national level on resolving the barriers to forming true family-professional relationships and how to strengthen the community by genuinely working together to improve the quality of peoples' lives.
