Get Support Overview

The Family Involvement Center (FIC) offers a variety of peer-delivered supports and services for youth and families in need of assistance.  These include one-to-one approaches, education, and support groups.  Our monthly calendar lists ongoing education, training and special events that are open to the public and those currently enrolled in the Maricopa County Children's Behavioral Health System of Care who may be receiving services from other agencies.

Families can learn more about how to access support by contacting the FIC Parent Assistance Line (PAL) at 602.288.0155.  Families with children currently enrolled in the behavioral health system may need to contact their service provider for additional assistance in accessing services through FIC.

In-Home and Community-Based

The Family Involvement Center offers in-home and community-based supports through Family to Family Services, our licensed outpatient direct support clinic.  These services are unique in that they are provided by family members, parents, and young adults who have personal experience in dealing with behavioral health needs.  Specifically, they have “been there” and are able to fill the role of a peer who shares common ground with the families we serve.

For these services and supports, residents of Maricopa County must be enrolled through the Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), Magellan of Arizona.  For further information on how to enroll, call Magellan of Arizona at  1-800-564-5465 or visit their website at www.magellanofaz.com

Family Education

The Family Involvement center believes that families and youth need to be empowered with knowledge, and tools that might assist them in raising children with mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges.  These education series are taught by parents who have walked a similar journey and can share from a parent’s perspective how the behavioral health system operates, as well as define the services and supports that are available in the community.  The Family Involvement Center brings families together to reduce feelings of isolation, build resilience, and enhance the quality of their lives.

Peer-Facilitated Support Groups
Inherent in the identity of the family Involvement Center is the natural ability and necessary environment to link families to people in their communities who share similar experiences in their life’s journey. Peer-Facilitated Support Groups provide opportunities for family members to exchange information, share practical help, increase problem-solving capacities, and receive emotional support from other family members.
