Family Support Partners (Parent Support Role in Northern Arizona)

Job Summary:

Family Support Partners (Northern Arizona) provide parent-to-parent support to parents/primary caregivers of children with emotional, physical and/or behavioral health care needs. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Positions are opened as needed. Bilingual (English and Spanish) speakers are a plus.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide in-home, community and office support to parents of children in the behavioral health system
  • Connect parents to the community for support and resources
  • Provide education to the parents regarding behavioral health issues
  • Coach parents to navigate the behavioral health system for effective management of their child’s behavioral health needs
  • Prepare documentation needed for coordination of care and billing
  • Work flexible hours as required

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Must be the parent or primary caregiver of a child who has received or is receiving  behavioral health services in the public or private sector
  • Must be able to pass state fingerprint clearance
  • Must have clean driving record, reliable transportation and proof of registration and insurance
  • Personality and demeanor to deal with the public and culturally sensitive to our families
  • Social services/human services work experience is a plus
  • Basic office and computer skills
  • Good sense of organization
  • Fluent in Spanish and English is a plus

Pay:

$11.00 - $15.50/hr
