Youth Creating Change
Welcome to Youth Support Services!
Our Vision
At Family Involvement Center we provide a number of collaborative services to help youth become productive and successful members of their families and communities. Utilizing a broad range of life experiences, our Youth Support Services team strives to meet at risk youth in their homes, schools and communities to provide them with the skills they need to accomplish their goals.
Youth Mentors
Youth Mentors at FIC are an integral part of the Youth Support Service structure; they drive our program by working with youth one-to-one and by leading our broad range of youth groups. They bring their personal experiences across all child serving systems to meet youth where they are at in their own journeys and help them learn the skills they need to transition successfully into adulthood.
Youth Groups
FIC offers a variety of youth programs during the summer as well as during the school year. Some of the curriculum based programs we offer are through our youth groups listed below.
Real Talk: A supportive group for boys aged 12-17
Chit-Chat: A supportive group for girls aged 12-17
Youth Creating Change: A community group for youth
aged 12-17 that has at its core healthy lifestyles.
Sib-Shops: A workshop for the siblings of youth with
special needs.
Summer Connections: A summer program geared to
continue youth progress and learning through the
summer months to keep them ready for the next
school year. See flyer for Summer 2013 details.
